I cannot believe that it is already two weeks into August. This summer came and is quickly approaching an end. I hope that all of you have enjoyed your summer to it's fullest since time just seems to fly. If you live somewhere like me (Texas), water just doesn't always cut the high temps of 105º and a humidity percentage that closely matches that. I'm always looking for something refreshing and cold to enjoy. Creamsicles and popsicles are among the top favorites for a lot of people. Well, guess what? August 14th is National Creamsicle Day! (as if we needed another reason to go to our freezer and pull one out, this is a good excuse.) Below are some amazing recipes that I thought would be fun to post in celebration of this day. This recipe is from a mommy blogger we found and, oh boy, does it sound delicious! Here are the ingredients you will need:Orange Dreamsicle Poke Cake
1 box Pillsbury Orangsicle Cake Mix
1 small box instant vanilla pudding
2 Tbsp Sour cream
8 oz Cool Whip- unfrozen
1/2 cup Orange Juice
2 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp orange extract
orange food coloring

1 scoop protein (You can use any protein you like. I recommend brown rice protein like Garden of Life Raw Vanilla protein--it's one of the best because it doesn't have unnecessary additives. 4 tablespoons frozen Cool Whip
12 oz can Sierra Mist
1 tube Crystal Light Sunrise Classic Orange
5 ice cubes (more if needed)
You will need a blender. Start by adding the can of Sierra Mist first. You can add all other ingredients on top of this and it prevents the dry ingredients from sticking to the sides of the blender. Blend on HIGH until smooth and drink!
